Staying at this hotel with my 4 kids was a delight! The beautiful Eskdale golf course was just a short drive away, offering fine views and a warm welcome, perfect for families. The food was also lovely, especially the meals prepared by the talented chef.
My children wanted more activities for kids.

Staying at the Bailey Ground Lodge was a mixed bag. The location right on the beachfront offered stunning sunrises over the Isle of Man, making it a real treat to wake up to. The food was a highlight. I loved the home-cooked meals, especially the steak which was delicious and generously portioned. The ice cream parlor on-site was a delightful surprise after dinner. On the downside, I found the check-in experience quite disorganized since there seemed to be no reception area. It felt unwelcoming upon arrival, and I had to search for a staff member to access my room. The breakfast setup was disappointing, as I expected a full English but only got a simple continental breakfast with no meats or cheeses offered. There were also some mixed feelings about the room decor, which could use a modernization to match the gorgeous views outside. Despite the beautiful setting, navigating through the maze-like corridors of the building was a bit confusing.

great stay but missed stronger wi-fi
The staff provided exceptional hospitality, making me feel welcomed from the start. The food was delightful, especially with the fresh local ingredients. The sea view from my room was breathtaking, adding a stunning backdrop to my stay, particularly during sunset.
The wi-fi in my room could have been more reliable, which was a bit frustrating.

Had a great time with friends! We loved exploring the beautiful Eskdale course and enjoying cozy evenings watching the sunset. The staff were really friendly, and we enjoyed wholesome meals cooked with local produce. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed getaway.
The room was a bit small, which made moving around in the bathroom a little tricky due to the layout.

The lovely seafront location offered stunning sunsets, making evening walks delightful. Generous portions of fresh local cold cuts at dinner were a pleasant surprise. the room felt excessively warm, making sleep difficult, and the noise from the guests above was disruptive. the mismatched tea and coffee mugs didn't quite match the otherwise cozy atmosphere.

It was a commendable fit for a quick trip in Seascale with fantastic value for money. The food really stood out, with generous portions and an emphasis on fresh local ingredients. Consider requesting a room with a sea view for a better experience.

The location offers fine views over the Irish Sea, and if you're lucky, you can catch a glimpse of the Isle of Man in clear weather. Meals are consistently described as generous and well-prepared, with a menu that highlights local produce-especially excellent during a seaside stay.
The hotel feels like a maze, with corridors and stairs that could use better signage. Many rooms overlook the car park instead of the sea, which is a letdown, especially when expecting a scenic view. The reception area can be unorganized, leading to a less-than-ideal check-in experience, and it seems there are frustrations regarding Wi-Fi connectivity, especially with mobile reception being weak in the village.
